Assistant Professor‑in‑Residence, Neuroscience

Full‑time, 9‑month, non‑tenure track teaching faculty position at the Department of Psychology, University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), beginning Fall 2027.

Responsibilities

• Instruction of undergraduate courses for the Neuroscience major, including cellular and molecular/cognitive neuroscience, and foundational and upper‑division Psychology courses, including capstone.
• Foster an inclusive learning environment welcoming faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds.
• Collaborate with a program coordinator for assessment and quality control of instruction and curriculum.
• Engage in professional development and service contributions, with potential for career advancement based on sustained contributions.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in psychology, neuroscience, or a related discipline from an accredited institution (ABD candidates considered).
• Substantial teaching experience, including online teaching.
• Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate education.
• Willingness to work with a program coordinator for assessment and quality control.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
