UNLV invites applications for an Assistant Professor-in-Residence in the Department of Computer Science. The role includes full-time teaching, advising, and mentoring, with responsibilities in course development and service at multiple levels within the university.

The candidate should have a PhD in Computer Science and experience teaching at an R1 university; programming languages and compiler construction teaching are highly preferred. It is a diverse, supportive environment at UNLV.

Formación

• PhD in Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
• Experience teaching at an R1 Doctoral University – Very High Research Activity institution.
• Preferred: Teaching courses in Programming Languages and Compiler Construction.

Responsabilidades

• Teach and advise undergraduate and graduate students.
• Develop courses and curricula.
• Engage in service activities at department, college, university, and community levels.
• Assist in grant writing for education, interdisciplinary and teaching-focused grants.
