• Master’s degree in English, English Education, Creative Writing or a Master’s with 18 graduate hours in English from a regionally accredited institution.
• Proven knowledge of and experience in composition instruction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to teach diverse populations in multiple formats (in-person, online, blended).
• Credentialing for SACSCOC as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Teach a minimum of 36 semester hours annually.
• Develop syllabus and course schedule; prepare and grade coursework.
• Hold regular office hours for student meetings.
• Maintain course content in the college LMS.
• Teach courses as assigned with campus times and locations.
• Use data and assessment tools to evaluate and improve instruction.
• Collaborate to improve student outcomes and curriculum.
• Participate in faculty committees and college activities.

Some lifting of computer and electronic equipment may be required. It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines, such as, copier, fax, calculator, telephone, and other equipment as necessary.
