Job Summary

The responsibilities include teaching the HIST 2112 U.S. History II (since 1865) survey course as well as advanced undergraduate and graduate courses in the successful candidate's fields of focus. Applications are especially encouraged from candidates who are interested in offering advanced undergraduate and graduate courses with broad, interdisciplinary appeal. Potential subjects include, but are not limited to: Politics, Popular Culture, Music, Sports, and Religion. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to maintain a research agenda that is consistent with UWG's aim to achieve the Research 2 designation in the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. Required Qualifications

An earned Ph.D. in History is required by July 31, 2027.

Preferred Qualifications

A record of effective teaching at the post-secondary level is preferred. Preference will also be given to candidates who show an ability and desire to teach cross-listed courses and/or courses offering interdisciplinary approaches to the humanities.

Proposed Salary

$65,000 - $68,000 annually. Paid on a monthly basis.
