Reporting to the Dean of Nursing and Health Professions, the Assistant Professor, Family Nurse Practitioner -FNP is responsible for providing the Nursing and Health Professions Division at Rivier University with instruction and support to the Family Nurse Practitioner program. This program prepares the graduate to practice and provide care to patient populations across lifespan.

Reporting to the Dean of Nursing and Health Professions, the Assistant Professor, Family Nurse Practitioner -FNP is responsible for providing the Nursing and Health Professions Division at Rivier University with instruction and support to the Family Nurse Practitioner program. This program prepares the graduate to practice and provide care to patient populations across lifespan.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Candidate must possess a keen interest and enthusiasm for engaging, teaching, working and mentoring graduate students with online ad hybrid teaching modalities at the graduate level.
- Candidate must possess strong clinical skills; be experienced with telehealth, virtual meeting technologies, women and children's health, preventive health, chronic disease management; and be able to supervise student experiences in the community setting.
- Teach graduate students using effective human and hi-fidelity simulation.
- Candidate should have a demonstrable understanding of how this discipline and this role supports the education of Family Nurse Practitioner students.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues both in the department and throughout the University community.
- Must have a weekly on-campus presence.
Qualifications
- National Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner and licensed in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
- DNP or Ph.D. preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in and commitment to teaching excellence in a broad range of graduate clinical and didactic courses.
- Desire to mentor graduate students in their course work, and career goals.

- Computer skills and proficiency with a variety of computer applications including word-processing, online teaching and reporting platforms, as well as online calendaring and email.
This position classification has been defined as exempt and is not subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
