This position is a nine-month, tenure-track faculty role based in Athens, Georgia, with responsibilities divided as 55% Extension, 40% Research, and 5% Service. The successful candidate will develop innovative, nationally recognized Extension and applied research programs, focusing on areas such as broiler breeder management, hatchery management, embryology, and incubation.
Key responsibilities include obtaining extramural funding, contributing to poultry science research and education, engaging in Extension youth activities, guest lecturing, mentoring students, and collaborating with industry and academic partners.
Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. and relevant experience in poultry/avian science (preferably 2 years). Candidates with a record of collaborative research, extramural funding success, and student mentorship are preferred.
