Job summary

The University of North Dakota invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Emerging Technologies and Artificial Intelligence (New Media) in the Visual Arts. The Burgum Arts & Sciences Endowed Chair will provide annual funds for professional development, travel, and equipment to support teaching, research, and creative activity.

Qualifications

• MFA in Visual Arts (any studio discipline).
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in studio art with emphasis on the integration of emerging technologies and AI.
• Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students
• Establish a solid and productive research program with emphasis in area of specialization, including seeking extramural funding
• Submit an annual report of creative/research, teaching, and public outreach activities funded by the Burgum Endowed Chair.
