The School of Professional Studies is comprised of six departments: Education, Education Psychology, Health Promotion & Exercise Science, Justice & Law Administration, Nursing and Social Work. Undergraduate degrees are offered in each of these professional fields, as well as Master's degrees in Homeland Security, Nursing and Education & Education Psychology and Doctoral degrees in Education and Nursing. The Department of Education Psychology is one of the signature departments at WCSU and offers the following degrees in professional fields: a BS in Elementary Education Interdisciplinary Major, BS in Secondary Education, MS in Education Option in Curriculum, MS in School Counseling, MS in Clinical Mental Health, MS in Applied Behavior Analysis, and an Ed.D. in Instructional Leadership. Programs are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Programs (CACREP) and NEASC. Position Summary

Position available at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT. Teach both clinical mental health and school counseling courses in the counselor education program. Responsible for engagement in appropriate service, engagement with scholarly activity including research and grant writing, and collaboration with colleagues to conduct program evaluations, CACREP accreditation activities and field placement of students. Serve on department, university and program committees.

Teaching Load

Standard teaching load is 24‑credits per academic year (12 credits) per semester.

Salary & Benefits
