About the Job

The Department of Economics in the College of Liberal Arts invites applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor position to begin fall semester 2025 (08/25/2025). Areas of specialization are open. The Department of Economics is committed to attracting candidates from historically under-represented groups.

The appointment will be 100% time over the nine-month academic year, at the level of tenure-track assistant professor depending on qualifications and experience, with a competitive salary. Faculty are expected to maintain an active research program, teach undergraduate and graduate courses in theoretical and/or applied economics, and contribute service to the department, college, university, and profession.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in Economics or a related field is required. Advanced ABDs may be considered for appointment at the rank of tenure-track instructor with the stipulation that the Ph.D. is conferred in the first year of the appointment.

Candidates will be evaluated based on academic preparation, research ability, teaching commitment, and recommendations.

Pay and Benefits
