Job summary

University of Kansas Medical Center seeks an open rank-eligible Assistant Professor in Clinical Laboratory Sciences to contribute to NAACLS-accredited CLS programs (BS, MS, DCLS options) and collaborate on curriculum and scholarly work.

The role includes teaching, student mentoring, program assessment, and committee service within a long-standing CLS department that values interdisciplinary collaboration and educational excellence.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field.
• MLS(ASCP) certification (or equivalent) is required or substitutable.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
• Teaching experience in NAACLS-accredited programs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Teach upper-division undergraduate and graduate CLS courses.
• Coordinate clinical/applied learning experiences and ensure competency attainment.
• Contribute to curriculum development, accreditation, and program assessment.
• Advise students, mentor mentees, and participate in scholarly activity.
• Serve on departmental and school committees and promote scholarly work.
