The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Section of Benign Hematology is recruiting for a clinical faculty Assistant Professor with commitment to a career in benign or non-malignant hematology.

Qualifications

• Our team specializes in diagnosing and treating non-cancerous blood disorders in cancer patients, as well as assessing and managing individuals with non-malignant blood conditions outside the cancer context.
• Physicians experience in clinical and/or basic science research, especially in cancer associated thrombosis, are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Candidates must show evidence of scholarly activity, scientific accomplishment, and skill in writing and communication.
• The successful candidate will be expected to engage in non-malignant hematology research and scholarly activity that will enhance the academic environment of the institution.
• The selected candidate will also be expected to become familiar with appropriate funding mechanisms to support cancer-related benign hematology research and to assist with mentoring young faculty, fellows, and other trainees, as applicable.
• The candidate will have protected time to lead and develop programs, perform research, and complete scholarly activities in keeping with the goals of the Section.
• Competitive compensation is offered commensurate with rank and qualifications.
• Faculty rank and protected research time will be provided consistent with experience and qualifications.
