Position Overview
The University is on a journey to become a Research 1 (R1) institution. The faculty member will be responsible for continuously publishing in high-quality peer-reviewed journals while developing and delivering high-quality course content in business analytics, information systems, and information technology at the undergraduate and MBA levels both on campus and online. In addition to carrying out impactful teaching and research, faculty member is expected to actively engage in service to the department, college, university, community, and profession. Faculty member is expected to engage with external partners and support grant and external funding opportunities.
This is a 9-month, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position. The faculty member will be responsible for developing and delivering course content in business analytics, information systems, and information technology. The faculty member should have experience teaching first-generation and diverse students. Industry/professional experiences and certifications are desirable.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have an earned doctorate in Business/Data Analytics, Decision Sciences, Information Systems, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline from an AACSB -accredited institution at the time of appointment. Candidates should demonstrate the potential to establish a research record through publications in refereed journals, national and international conferences, book chapters, and other scholarly activities.
Preferred Qualifications
A strong foundation in business applications is preferred. Special consideration will be given to candidates with teaching and professional experience in the business/data analytics area. Experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate classes in Analytics and Information Systems/Technology is preferred. Industry experience and professional certifications in the areas of Analytics and Information Systems/Technology are preferred.
