Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biology, Botany, Ecology or a related field.
• Commitment to Protestant Christian faith and integration of faith and learning.
• Prior university teaching experience and evidence of effective pedagogy.
• Active research program including undergraduate participation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging courses in general biology, botany, ecology, and evolution at the undergraduate level.
• Utilize diverse teaching methods to promote active learning and critical thinking.
• Develop and sustain an active undergraduate research program.
• Mentor and advise students in the Biological and Health Sciences Department.
• Participate in faculty governance and service to the College and community.
• Opportunity to contribute to teaching or research at Wheaton College Field Station in SD.
