Essential Job Functions

• Teaches courses as negotiated with the department chair in general biology, and other upper-level biology courses (from among the specialties of anatomy and physiology, microbiology, cellular and molecular biology, ecology, and virology) in a variety of potential formats (online, in person with and without lab, etc.). The position is an in-person position.
• Participates in curriculum and/or program development, as assigned.
• Be accessible to students, according to College guidelines; maintains regular office hours for student advising and consultation.
• Conducts scholarship/research activities.
• Serves and contributes to appropriate college and university committees.
• Provides community service and participates in university, college and departmental functions that contribute to campus life, such as athletic events, orientations, receptions, commencements, etc.
• Attends meetings as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
