Job summary

The University of Alaska Anchorage invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Psychology with a specialty in behavior analysis. The successful candidate will teach in ABAI-accredited undergraduate and graduate programs, contribute to program development, and participate in scholarly activity.

This 9-month, tenure-track position begins in August 2027 on the Anchorage campus. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in psychology, behavior analysis, or closely related field by appointment.
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
• Licensed or license-eligible as a behavior analyst in Alaska.
• Demonstrated capacity for scholarly or creative activity.
• Evidence of potential for excellence in teaching at the college/university level.

Responsibilities

• Teach ABA undergraduate and graduate courses in ABAI-accredited programs.
• Contribute to program development, assessment, and curriculum.
• Engage in scholarly activity and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Provide mentorship and supervision for students and supervise fieldwork.
