The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center has long been at the forefront of advancing women's reproductive health care. We pioneered the Apgar score for assessing newborn health, were the first in the nation to perform an amniocentesis test, and developed RhoGAM, which has nearly eliminated Rh-incompatibility reactions that once caused hundreds of fetal and neonatal deaths annually.


Situated in the heart of CUIMC's dynamic medical community, over 100 physicians and more than 40 post-graduate residents and fellows collaborate with researchers and clinicians to address women's health care needs. We remain dedicated to our mission of delivering exceptional patient care, training the next generation of Ob/Gyn leaders, supporting cutting-edge research, and translating those innovations into clinical practice.


Job description


Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking faculty for the General Ob/Gyn Division within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. We are looking for full-time, board-certified or board-eligible individuals to engage in all clinical and academic aspects of our dynamic department. Multiple positions are available.



Responsibilities include providing inpatient and outpatient care, practicing general obstetrics and gynecology, and performing gynecologic surgery. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical care, research, and the education of residents and medical students. Candidates will also be expected to deliver high-quality care at New York-Presbyterian Hospitals and affiliated community health centers in lower Manhattan, Washington Heights, and Westchester. This position offers significant opportunities for leadership and career development.
