The Rutgers Center for Psychiatric Health & Genomics (CPHG, https://cphg.rutgers.edu/) is recruiting assistant/associate/full professors to lead research programs in genomics related to psychiatric disorders. Faculty will hold appointments in the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Department of Psychiatry. Responsibilities include developing interdisciplinary research teams, securing extramural funding, and contributing to scholarly activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The faculty will integrate research initiatives across Rutgers University, demonstrate leadership in genomics and health, and participate in regional, national, and international research efforts. They are expected to develop collaborative research, secure funding, and contribute to teaching and administrative duties within the Department of Psychiatry.
Minimum Education and Experience: An MD or PhD in genomics or a related field, with experience in collaborative research, grant funding, and scholarly publications. Teaching and mentoring experience is preferred.
Physical demands include standing, sitting, walking, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 15 pounds. The work environment is laboratory and office with moderate noise. Pre-employment screenings and immunization requirements apply.
