Screenwriting
The Film Program seeks to fill an open-rank position at the rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor of Film (tenure-track/tenured) or Assistant Professor of Professional Practice/Associate Professor of Professional Practice in Film (practice faculty), specializing in screenwriting, effective July 1, 2025. The program aims to attract a dynamic and dedicated teacher with professional experience in the film and/or television industries and teaching experience at the graduate level. The ideal candidate will have experience working professionally and teaching feature film screenwriting and television writing. Experience in new media is also a plus.
Columbia University School of the Arts offers MFA degrees in Film, Theatre, Visual Arts, and Writing; an MA in Film Studies; and undergraduate programs in Creative Writing, Film and Media Studies, and Visual Arts.
