Job summary

The University of Alaska Fairbanks seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in animal ecology to join the Institute of Arctic Biology (IAB) and College of Natural Science and Mathematics (CNSM). This 9-month, full-time position includes teaching, research, and service, with a 3-month extension funded externally if available.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in biology with emphasis on animal ecology.

Responsibilities

• Teach two courses per year in the Department of Biology and Wildlife.
• Build and sustain an externally funded research program.
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate students; supervise research.
• Provide service to the university, profession, and public; engage with Indigenous perspectives is desirable.
