Assistant Professor, Aftermarket Management

Northwood University seeks a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills, significant industry experience and a strong record of teaching at the undergraduate level to begin teaching in the Spring 2026 semester at our Midland, Michigan campus. The candidate will be hired with the rank of assistant professor.

Responsibilities

Northwood University is a teaching-focused university with HLC and ACBSP accreditation offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in business-related disciplines. The teaching load for full-time undergraduate faculty is 30 credit hours per academic year (Fall and Spring semesters).

  • Teach undergraduate courses in Automotive Aftermarket Management, Management, and/or Marketing.
  • Participate in ongoing curriculum planning and review.
  • Supervise internships and/or practicum.
  • Engage in research and scholarly activities.
  • Participate in professional/instructional development.
  • Serve as department chair and program quality lead.
  • Participate in university committee activities.
  • Engage in recruitment and retention activities.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a business-related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Earned Doctorate or terminal degree from accredited institution (such as J.D., Ph.D., OBA; ABD candidates considered if completion date is within one year of hire).
