Description:

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of dermatopathology. Experience in frozen section coverage and an additional surgical pathology subspecialty is desirable, but not required. Applicants must have an M.D and/or Ph.D or equivalent degree. Board Certification/Eligibility in Dermatopathology and/or Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic/Clinical Pathology and an unrestricted medical license/eligibility in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required.

Teaching responsibilities may include training medical students, residents, and fellows in Perelman School of Medicine and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Clinical responsibilities may include participation in Dermatopathology service in the Surgical Pathology Section of the Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine. This will include the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Hospital, Pennsylvania Hospital and its affiliates. Coverage of additional pathology subspecialties will be considered. The main practice site will be Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
