Description:

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Board certified in pediatric endocrinology.

Teaching responsibilities may include high quality teaching of CHOP fellows and residents as well as medical students from the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania.

Clinical responsibilities may include providing high quality care to children and adolescents with diabetes and endocrine conditions, primarily in the outpatient setting . An area of focus of this position is the care of children and adolescents with gender dysphoria as part of the CHOP Gender & Sexuality Development Program (GSDP). The CHOP GSDP was established in 2014 as a multidisciplinary team of medical providers, mental health providers, advocates and educators who work together to support over 4000 families.

The Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes comprises nearly 30 faculty with diverse clinical and investigative interests and has clinical programs with nearly 30,000 outpatient visits yearly.
