Candidate will teach courses as per Morgan contract; generally 4 courses per semester with a possible reduced load in the first two years; conduct research; advise students and serve on committees in the department. In addition, the candidate will have advanced research skills preferably in qualitative methodology, and substantitive research in race, gender, class, collective action and public sociology.
Knowledge of sociological theory and practice. Knowledge of sociological methods, either quantitative or qualitative or both. Teaching experience at the undergraduate level required, graduate level optional. Ability and desire to mentor minority students.
