The Department of Psychology consists of 31 faculty members, the staff of the advising center, the staff of the Psychoeducational Clinic, and the four members of our office staff, as well as over 750 undergraduate majors and 120 graduate students pursuing their doctoral degrees. The faculty are outstanding scholars, many of whom have won awards for teaching and research and/or are fellows in the major professional societies in Psychology. Essential Job Duties

The Department of Psychology is seeking an Assistant Professor to advance research, teaching, and service in applied social psychology. This position requires the establishment of an independent research program with demonstrated or potential for external funding, dissemination of scholarship through scholarly outlets, teaching and mentorship of undergraduate and graduate students, and service to the Applied Social Psychology program area, department, college, university, and broader field.

As an Assistant Professor, you will conduct a productive program of research that contributes meaningful scholarship to the discipline and strengthens the department’s research profile. You will teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, helping them develop as scholars and professionals, while contributing your expertise to the continued growth of the program and the broader discipline.

Key Responsibilities
