Job description

UMN Morris Theatre Arts is seeking applications for the position of Lecturer/Assistant Professor (9753T). This is a full time, 100% (24 credit hours of teaching), 9-month, annually renewable appointment.

Responsibilities

We seek an individual with enthusiasm for teaching undergraduates in a small, residential, public liberal arts college that has been recognized nationally for its high academic quality. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in teaching courses in our Theatre Arts major at the undergraduate level. They will also be expected to design and build two theatre productions annually and to oversee all technical components of the productions. Special consideration will be given to candidates who have experience in scenic and or lighting design and who can also contribute to the teaching of courses in our Communication and Media Studies program (e.g., a course in media production).

Qualifications

Required qualifications: M.F.A. or Ph.D. in Theatre.

Employment Requirements

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $52,630 - $55,500; depending on education/qualifications/experience
