Position Summary: The Assistant Production Supervisor supports daily operations and personnel across multiple production departments. This role involves training with Production Supervisors and Senior Leadership to develop supervisory skills, ensuring compliance with cGMP and OSHA standards, and that all components/resources are available.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily activities of production leads and operators to meet compliance, quality, and productivity goals.
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of controlled production documents such as MDR, MMR, etc.
  • Provide clear written and oral guidance to production staff.
  • Schedule production activities, including personnel, hours, and equipment use.
  • Ensure necessary components/resources are available to meet production standards.
  • Update leadership on compliance, quality, and equipment issues.
  • Review production activities to prevent backorders and maintain inventory levels.
  • Maintain cGMP compliance in equipment and work areas.
  • Coordinate with quality assurance and lab personnel on quality issues.
  • Create, review, and approve manufacturing procedures per cGMP and company guidelines.
  • Ensure training programs, including safety and forklift certification, are completed and records maintained.
  • Monitor cross-training and certification programs.
  • Promote teamwork, communicate goals, and proactively set the pace.
  • Audit operations for safety, ensure PPE use.
  • Participate in performance assessments and training programs.
  • Uphold the company's mission and values, fostering an innovative and results-oriented culture.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with FDA, ISO, and cGMP standards.
  • Experience in building and leading high-performance teams is desirable.
