Assistant Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Position Details

Shift Hours: 3pm-11:30pm, Monday to Friday

Location: Salt Lake City/Grantsville, UT

Impact and Responsibilities

How will you make an impact? - Oversee production processes and assist the Supervisor in establishing production priorities to ensure effective operations and cost management.

What will you do?

  • Coordinate with management to set production and quality standards; gather data on product types, quantities, specifications, and delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate with procurement, maintenance, and quality control to optimize resource utilization.
  • Review production, quality, maintenance, and operational reports to identify issues and improve processes.
  • Assist in reducing scrap and MRO usage; ensure workstations are clean and well-stocked.
  • Monitor production metrics and aim to reduce defects per million (DPM).
  • Ensure employees understand policies and procedures; maintain operational supplies and equipment.
  • Support SPC system monitoring to identify and address repetitive issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.

Experience: Minimum 2 years in a production or manufacturing environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations and industry standards.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies to meet business goals.
  • Financial and analytical skills, proficiency in business analytics.
  • Knowledge of international taxes and customs regimes.
  • Experience in change management and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and email.
Preferred Qualifications

Combination of education, experience, and training will be considered.
