Job summary

Vuori, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Assistant Production Planner to support apparel production in Carlsbad, CA. You will assist with PO administration, data maintenance, and vendor communications, gaining hands-on experience across the production planning lifecycle.

You will work alongside Production Planners and cross‑functional partners, building strong data practices while developing a foundation in production planning and cost validation in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, supply chain, manufacturing, merchandising, or related field.
• Entry-level experience via coursework, internships, or work in production, sourcing, supply chain, operations, retail, or apparel is preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel and comfort learning ERP, reporting, and document-management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own PO administration, including uploads, delivery closeouts, and updates to dates, costs, shipping methods, and product information.
• Monitor PO status and confirmations, collaborate with Production Planners to resolve exceptions.
• Maintain WIP data through updates and correct mismatches across WIP, ERP, and reporting.
• Support cost validation and purchase price variance activities, including invoice corrections and vendor communication.
• Review data discrepancies with planners, perform approved corrections, and notify vendors of missing information or milestones.
• Maintain seasonal PO files and support vendor-facing document distribution.
• Complete ad hoc reporting, analysis, and system updates accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with Production Planners, Logistics, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented, curious Assistant Production Planner who is excited to build a career in apparel production at Vuori! As an entry-level individual contributor on our Production Planning team, you will gain hands‑on experience supporting the operational details that help keep production moving—from purchase order administration and WIP maintenance to cost validation, reporting, and vendor communication. Working closely with Production Planners and cross‑functional partners, you will help maintain accurate data, resolve discrepancies, and respond to time‑sensitive needs. What you’ll get to do:

• Partner with Production Planners, Logistics, vendors, and cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Merchandising, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience preferred.
• Entry‑level experience through coursework, internships, or professional work in production, sourcing, supply chain, operations, retail, or apparel is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort learning ERP, reporting, and document‑management platforms; Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SharePoint experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to organize, validate, and maintain large volumes of data.
• Ability to prioritize recurring work and time‑sensitive requests, communicate plainly, and follow established approval processes.
• Analytical, systems‑oriented mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies, research root causes, and elevate issues appropriately.
