Job summary

Schnucks is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager for a full-time, union position. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader and commit to excellent customer service, with the ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.

The work week varies and includes weekends and holidays, with shifts from 6am to 10pm. Responsibilities include enforcing safety guidelines, training teammates, managing displays, writing daily orders, stocking, sanitation, inventory control, and stepping in

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of relevant experience.
• Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Hours may range from 6am-10pm.
• Internal candidates: six months to one year with Schnucks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strict adherence to Produce Department and company safety guidelines.
• Assign duties to the team as needed.
• Train new teammates.
• Pull and rotate product and straighten displays.
• Ensure department standards are met.
• Write orders for the day and set up timeline for production schedule.
• Provide friendly and courteous service in person and on the phone.
• Receive and stock orders.
• Understand and practice proper sanitation procedures.
• Follow inventory control procedures to ensure quality production, accuracy and product rotation.
• Assume the responsibility of the Department Manager in their absence.
