Responsibilities

• Help oversee daily operations of the Produce Department with focus on freshness, quality, and customer service.
• Deliver knowledgeable, friendly service and ensure associates demonstrate strong product knowledge.
• Assist with executing corporate merchandising programs, planograms, seasonal sets, and promotional displays.
• Maintain full, fresh, clean, and visually appealing produce displays at all times.
• Assist with managing product rotation, remove damaged or unsellable items, and maintain freshness standards.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, inspection, and store product following food safety and rotation guidelines.
• Help with managing shrink through inventory controls, root-cause identification, and waste-reduction strategies.
• Assist with building and managing labor schedules aligned with business needs.
• Assist with training, coaching, and developing produce associates while maintaining a positive team environment.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and company operational standards.
• Perform Product Department duties as needed and assume responsibility for department operations in the absence of the Produce Manager
