Job summary

Omya Group in Alabama is seeking a process operator-3 to run production equipment and manage materials per bill of materials and formula specs. You will monitor instruments, record operations, and perform required quality tests to ensure product conformity.

The role requires a high school diploma and about five years in industrial/manufacturing, with maintenance experience and basic chemistry knowledge. Safety, cleanliness, and proper QSHE adherence are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of industrial/manufacturing experience in a chemical or related field.
• Maintenance experience in a manufacturing operation.
• Basic chemistry knowledge preferred.
• Ability to read and follow process instructions.
• Basic computer and laboratory skills.
• Strong communication with coworkers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Operate designated production equipment to execute the manufacturing process.
• Select intermediates or raw materials and load into production machines.
• Read bills of materials or formulas to add correct quantities in sequence.
• Manufacture product safely and timely per process instructions to meet quality.
• Read control instruments and prepare neat records for operations.
• Complete quality tests to verify final product quality.
• Keep records of production, materials, samples and equipment performance.
• Prepare product packaging for next step or shipment per specs.
• Ensure operation, maintenance and cleanliness of laboratory instruments.
• Follow QSHE requirements and IMS guidance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
