Excellence Community Schools is seeking an Assistant Principal for Elementary/Middle in New York. ECS operates in the Bronx, NY and Stamford, CT, guided by a nationally recognized model and a commitment to equity and high expectations.

The role focuses on instructional leadership, culture, and collaboration with staff to drive student achievement. The ideal candidate holds a School Building Leadership certification and a Master’s in Education Leadership, with at least 5 years teaching and 1 year

Qualifications

Master's degree in Education Leadership or related field required.
School Building Leadership certification required.
Minimum 1 year in a leadership role (e.g., Assistant Principal).
Minimum 5 years of successful teaching experience.
Experience with urban education and underserved scholars.

Responsibilities

Supports instructional and school culture leadership.
Collaborates and fosters professional relationships within the school community.
Pursues excellence in student achievement, daily instruction, and community engagement.
Maintains culture of high expectations and accountability for conduct.
Assists in policy development on discipline, conduct, and attendance.
