Baltimore County Public Schools seeks an Elementary/ Middle/ High School Assistant Principal to support the principal in planning, implementing, and evaluating school programs. The role requires collaboration with staff and central office to address CSI needs and improve student outcomes, while overseeing discipline, staff supervision, and data-driven decision making.
The position offers exposure to district priorities, leadership development opportunities, and participation in a comprehensive
Provides support and assistance to the school principal. Assists in planning, implementing, directing, and evaluating school programs and activities. Supervises professional and support staff. Performs other duties as assigned.
Possession of a Maryland Educator Advanced Professional Certificate with an Administrator I or Supervisors of Instruction, Assistant Principals, and Principal endorsement.
Possession of, or eligibility for, a Maryland Educator Advanced Professional License and Administrator I or Supervisors of Instruction, Assistant Principals, and Principal.
The work of this class is performed in a school environment.
Requires attendance at evening meetings and weekend activities as required.
GRADE: Based on the 12-month School-Based Administrators pay scale
Elementary School Assistant Principal (Grade 10)
Middle School Assistant Principal (Grade 11)
High School Assistant Principal (Grade 12)
SALARY: Effective July 1, 2026
$109,149 - $165,384 Elementary School
$115,682 - $175,285 Middle School
$122,608 - $185,778 High School
