Job Overview

The Assistant Principal provides assistance to the school Principal as requested in the total school program.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist the Principal in the implementation, supervision, and evaluation of the total school program; in the evaluation of instructional and classified personnel; in the supervision of student conduct and co-curricular activities; in the supervision of the school food service program and transportation; in the departmental budgeting process and the acquisition of supplies and supplementary materials for instructional use; in the coordination of programs and services related to instruction; and in the supervision of the custodial staff.
• Coordinate building maintenance.
• Assist in maintaining discipline throughout the student body and handle special cases as necessary.
• Serve with parent, faculty, and student groups as requested in advancing educational and related activities and objectives.
• Perform record-keeping functions as directed by the Principal.
