Job summary

Jolly Elementary School in Georgia is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Principal to lead instructional programs and school operations in a dynamic district. The successful candidate will develop short- and long-term goals aligned with the district's strategic direction, supervise staff, coordinate master scheduling, and engage with parents and the community to support student achievement.

Qualifications include a Master's degree in Education or Administration and Georgia certificate

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education, Education Administration, or closely related area.
• Minimum three (3) years of classroom teaching, supervisory level education administration, or closely related experience.
• Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission approved certificate in educational leadership at level L-5, NL-5, PL-6, or above; eligible for NPL if not held.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional leadership to the department with in-depth knowledge of the field and trends.
• Oversee instructional programs, conduct classroom observations, and provide leadership.
• Develop and monitor the school's master schedule to optimize operations and resources.
• Coordinate student discipline, manage behavior, and maintain a safe environment.
• Engage with parents and the community to address concerns and build relationships.
• Oversee staff development, teacher observations, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee counseling services, human resources functions, and school improvement planning.

Education

Master's degree in Education, Education Administration, or closely related area from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university
