Global Leadership Academy Kodiak Campus in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking an Assistant Principal to serve as a key instructional leader, supporting the Principal with academic programs, coaching, professional development, and school operations.

The role emphasizes data-driven instruction, MTSS/ESOL/ESE compliance, collaboration with teachers, families, and staff to drive student achievement and a positive school culture.

Qualifications

• Florida Educational Leadership Certification or eligibility.
• Florida Teaching Certificate.
• Minimum of five years of successful instructional experience.
• Experience in instructional coaching, teacher development, and student achievement initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Florida standards, MTSS, ESE, and ESOL requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional leadership and coaching to teachers.
• Analyze longitudinal student achievement data to identify growth areas.
• Design and support a professional development plan aligned to school goals.
• Ensure effective implementation of ESE, ESOL, MTSS, and other programs.
• Monitor and support teacher coaching cycles for instructional effectiveness.
• Train instructional coaches and evaluate coaching effectiveness.
• Provide feedback through classroom walkthroughs and coaching conversations.
• Support innovative instructional practices and educational technology.
• Collaborate to prioritize standards-based instruction and interventions.
• Assist in developing and implementing the School Improvement Plan.
