Job summary

Ulster BOCES is seeking an Assistant Principal of Career Pathways Programs for a full-time, 12 month position at the Ulster BOCES Career Academies at iPark87. The chosen candidate will play an integral role in providing each young professional with an educational experience which focuses on preparing them for a bright and successful future.

A NYS License, Certification and fingerprinting required. Salary commensurate with experience and training. Salary range starting at $116,450.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of classroom experience
• Experience in Vocational Education preferred
• New York State SBL or equivalent Certification

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate instructional personnel; recruit and screen teachers; work with program team on staff training and in-service programs; schedule substitute teaching
• Supervise data collection for attendance and grading; generate reports with sending districts; communicate with students, parents, vocational teachers and component schools
• Develop student performance guidelines; determine plans for effective student management; utilize BOCES resources and related staff as needed
• Develop instructional programs with instructors; maintain data system for student occupational profiles
• Maintain enrollment, admissions and attendance files; supervise recruitment within county schools; coordinate staff meetings and enrollment
• Create staff handbook; release weekly calendars of BOCES events and school activities
• Assist Principal in annual budget development; recommend equipment updates; inventory management
• Assist Principal in program development; analyze labor market needs for expansion/reduction
