Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Eligibility for a Virginia Postgraduate Professional License in administration and supervision.
• Three (3) years of successful teaching experience; experience at the high school level is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Supports the school principal in the general administration of the school.
• Coordinates and supervises the daily operation of attendance, security, transportation, student schedules, and related operations.
• Assists in establishing the school’s student discipline plan and the safe environment.
• Administers the student discipline program at the assigned school.
• Assists in ensuring policies and procedures related to student discipline meet requirements.
• Conferences with parents/guardians regarding attendance and behavior.
• Conferences with students referred for violations and notifies parents/guardians of action.
• Provides staff development on security, discipline and conferencing techniques.
• Supervises daily activities of attendance, security, transportation, and health clinic staff.
• Schedules staff to cover classes as needed.
• Coordinates scheduling of buses with transportation.
• Supervises the CTE/Badger program.
• Engages with the business community to support students and families.
• Monitors halls, lunches, grounds, and student interactions for safety.
• Attends after-school and weekend events as assigned.
