Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in New Jersey seeks a detail-oriented team member to assist the Hot Stamp Press Operator. You will set up and adjust the hot stamper, select materials, manage change-overs and maintain equipment for quality stamping and embossing of cartons.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean work areas, completing documentation, staging materials, loading stock, and supporting the press operator during runs. Overtime may be required; drug screening after conditional offer is typical.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.
• Ability to read and write instructions and correspondence.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Must pass a basic reading test.
• Must pass color vision test.
• Must pass color hue test.
• Must be able to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical test or have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience.
• Must be able to maintain good attendance.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.

GENERAL PURPOSE

Assist Hot Stamp Press Operator with mechanical adjustments to set-up and make ready hot stamper for quality stamping and embossing of cartons while complying with customers order requirement and production scheduling.

The starting rate is $18.50- $21 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 10 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change. Your actual pay will be based on your work location and other factors, such as your skills, experience, and education.
