Job summary

ProAmpac in the United States is seeking an entry-level production worker to support press operations and materials handling in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role offers a structured wage progression program based on skills, experience, and milestones, with a pay range of $20–$27 per hour. You will assist with machine setup, feed materials, monitor operations, and follow safety guidelines to ensure quality and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Assist with machine setup and prepare tooling as directed.
• Supply materials to the press to ensure steady production.
• Monitor machine operation and report issues promptly.
• Assist with routine maintenance and adjust settings as needed.
• Troubleshoot minor issues and perform small repairs under guidance.
• Fill in or run the machine during shift changes.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and wear PPE as required.
• Complete production logs and reports.

Job description

• The position is eligible for a structured wage progression program based on skills, experience and progression mile stones

Essential Duties And Tasks

• Assists with machine setup, prepares machinery for operation by setting up tools, loading materials, and adjusting settings as directed by the primary operator.
• Supplies raw material or compotent specific to the press machine as needed, ensuring a steady flow of materials to maintain efficient production levels.
• Monitors press machine operations, observes the machine during operation to ensure the machine is running as expected, notifying the primary operator or supervisor of any issues or malfunctions.
• Assists with routine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubricating, or replacing parts, adjusting machine settings, or other standard practices to ensure proper operation of the machine and to maintain quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
• Troubleshoots minor technical issues, performs minor repairs or adjustments under the guidance of the primary operator or maintenance personnel.
• Ability to fill-in or temporarily run the machine during shift changes, or as necessary.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment by performing standard tasks such as removing debris or waste materials.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, to prevent accidents or injuries. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment(PPE) as required by safety policies and reports any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate team member.
• Completes production logs or reports as required for documentation purposes, including but not limited to, production output, machine downtime, or any maintenance or repair activities.
• Effectively works with other departments or team members including maintenance, material handling, quality, inventory, scheduling, supervisors, customer service, or any other members of the production team as directed by supervisors.
• All other duties as assigned.
