Join Our Team at Cobb Jewish Preschool
Cobb Jewish Preschool is seeking a dedicated, sweet, and nurturing assistant teacher to join our 18-month to young 2-year-old class. We pride ourselves on our nurturing environment, supportive administration, and a team of passionate educators who bring Jewish values to life every day. Position Details
  • Duration: start in August for a 10-month contract
  • Compensation: $20–22 per hour
  • Benefits:
    • Paid personal and sick days

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Support: Assist the lead teacher in delivering a developmentally appropriate curriculum and engaging activities.
  • Daily Routines: Help support children during arrivals, departures, meal times, toileting, and naptime.
  • Learning Experiences: Facilitate play-based learning that fosters social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
  • Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of children during indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Classroom Management: Help set up and maintain an organized, clean, and inviting classroom environment.
  • Materials Preparation: Prepare and manage supplies for classroom activities and projects.
  • Individual Support: Provide one-on-one assistance to children requiring extra guidance.
  • Observation & Documentation: Assist in observing and recording children’s behavior, progress, and milestones.
  • Parent Communication: Update parents on their child’s day, achievements, and any concerns.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the lead teacher and colleagues to nurture a positive, inclusive classroom community.
  • Professional Development: Attend staff meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support the preschool program.

Qualifications
