Do you have a passion for early childhood education and enjoy working with children from 2.9 to 6 years old? If so, please consider applying to the Assistant Teacher position and join our early childhood education team at the Montachusett Community Branch YMCA!
Under the supervision of the Lead Child Care Teacher, the Preschool Assistant Teacher assists the classroom teacher in setting up and implementing daily curriculum which promotes social, cultural, educational, physical and emotional growth. Additionally, the Assistant Teacher performs housekeeping chores as necessary and provides a quality experience to children that focuses on the YMCA values.

Qualifications:
Physical demands: Ability to participate in children’s activities and evacuation drills, move about the classroom and playground, and lift children.
Must present evidence of a physical examination and certification of good health every two years; as well as evidence of a negative Mantoux test, and immunity from measles, mumps, and rubella.
Schedule: Shifts vary during the day but typically Monday through Friday, 20 hours per week.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour. Plus, access to YMCA facilities for all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave.
