Job summary

The Gardner School of Nashville is hiring an Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our state-of-the-art preschool. You will assist the Lead Teacher with age-appropriate activities, nurture emotional development, and help maintain a safe classroom environment.

This role emphasizes teamwork, growth, and a love of early childhood education. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain), and at least one year of experience with young children.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• 1+ years of experience with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher with age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Provide nurturing guidance supporting emotional and behavioral development.
• Maintain a clean, safe classroom and support daily routines.
• Collaborate with team members and school leaders for consistency.
