Job Summary: We are seeking an Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our preschool team at Ascension Catholic School. Under the supervision of the Lead Preschool Teacher and the Director of Early Childhood Learning, the Assistant Preschool Teacher will assist with day-to-day tasks such as preparing lessons, supporting students during activities, and maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment. The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in early childhood education or a related field and have a passion for working with young children. This position requires a commitment to creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment that reflects the values of Catholic education.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Lead Preschool Teacher with preparing and implementing age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Support students during lessons, small group activities, and playtime to promote their development.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with the Lead Preschool Teacher, other staff members, and families.
• Use active listening and problem-solving skills to support the needs of students.
• Learn technology skills as required by the position.
• Perform other job-related tasks as deemed necessary and/or assigned by the Lead Preschool Teacher or Principal.
