Job summary

The Learning Experience – Zephyrhills is opening a brand-new early childhood education center and seeks caring Assistant Teachers to support Infant through Pre-K classrooms. This entry point role offers hands-on experience in a supportive, professional childcare setting and a path to growth within our founding team.

You will help implement daily lesson plans, maintain a safe and nurturing environment, support routines, and communicate with families as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to complete DCF 45-hour training if not already completed.
• Must pass Level 2 Background Screening per Florida requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teachers in Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K classrooms.
• Assist with implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized learning environment.
• Support daily routines including meals, diapering, naps, and transitions.
• Engage with children to encourage learning and development.
• Communicate with families as needed and support classroom updates.
• Work collaboratively with classroom team members.
• Follow all DCF licensing and health & safety requirements.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Willingness to complete DCF 45-hour training

Ability to pass Level 2 Background Screening

Background Screening Requirement: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, in accordance with Florida state regulations

Preferred

• Experience in childcare, babysitting, daycare, or early childhood education
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Interest in growing a career in Early Childhood Education
