Support Teacher at The Primrose School of Spring Cypress

Location: 11616 Spring Cypress, Tomball, TX 77377

As a Support Teacher, you will help young minds explore, discover, and understand the world around them.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teacher to plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child, in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning approach.

The Primrose School of Spring Cypress is an accredited private preschool offering year-round programs for children from infants through elementary age, providing a premier educational childcare experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
2. Observe all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Spring Cypress and applicable regulatory agencies concerning health, safety, and care of children.
3. Implement approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedules according to the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
4. Maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom environment that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions confidently.
5. Provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children, along with clear and consistent behavioral expectations.
6. Take responsibility for classroom maintenance, housekeeping duties, and upkeep of common areas and playgrounds.
7. Maintain a professional personal appearance as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
8. Assist with other duties as determined by the Director or designee.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Meet the basic requirements of the local child care regulatory agency.
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program is preferred.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for child safety and program facilitation. For Infant and Toddler teachers, proper lifting of infants into and out of cribs is required.
