Role Description

The Assistant Preschool Teacher is an on-site role located in Morristown, NJ. There are full and part-time roles available. This role supports the lead teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and age-appropriate classroom environment for preschool-aged children. Day-to-day responsibilities include helping implement lesson plans, assisting with classroom activities, guiding children through routines, and reinforcing positive behavior. The Assistant Preschool Teacher will collaborate with colleagues, maintain classroom cleanliness and organization, and follow all center policies and licensing regulations. The role also involves observing children's development, supporting individualized learning needs, and contributing to a respectful, inclusive atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in Early Childhood Education, including understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices.
• Strong Communication skills for interacting with children, families, and colleagues.
• Previous experience working in a preschool or childcare setting is preferred.
• Relevant coursework, CDA credential, or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to meet state and center requirements, including background checks and health clearances.
• Capacity to stand, sit on the floor, lift children as needed, and actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
