Job summary

Heartfelt Impressions Learning Center in Lake Orion, MI is seeking an Assistant Preschool Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in a High Scope classroom. This full-time, onsite role runs Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with a pay range of $16–$19 per hour based on experience and education.

Responsibilities include caring for preschoolers, ensuring safety and supervision, and delivering developmentally appropriate activities. CPR, background check, and USA residency are required; CDA preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required or can be completed within 30 days of hire.
• Prior experience in early childhood education or as a private nanny (preferred).
• Have a CDA credential or working towards a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
• Ability to pass a Background Check (fingerprinting).
• Must reside in the USA.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher in caring for preschoolers and maintaining an engaging classroom using the High Scope curriculum.
• Support the daily operations of the preschool classroom with safety and supervision as priorities.
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities to promote cognitive and social-emotional growth.

In collaboration with the Lead Teacher, the Assistant Teacher has responsibility for the care, supervision, and management of an engaging and developmentally appropriate preschool classroom environment utilizing the High Scope curriculum.

Position Detail

• Status: Full-time
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
• Location: Onsite, Lake Orion, MI
• Pay range: $16-$19/hour (pay rate is based on years of experience in early childhood education plus education)
• Please note: This position does not qualify for US Visa sponsorship or relocation

• Must have full-time availability and reliable transportation

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• CPR Certification is required for all teaching positions, but can be completed within 30 days of hire

• Have a Child Development Associate credential (CDA) or working towards a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred)
