The Whatcom Family YMCA is seeking a full-time Assistant Preschool Teacher to join a dedicated team in providing a supportive learning environment for preschoolers. This role involves engaging children in play-based learning activities and maintaining classroom standards. Applicants must have experience with young children and relevant certifications, including CPR and First Aid. Join us in making a difference in our community's early education.
The YMCA Millworks Early Learning Center (recently relocated from the Downtown Y to the waterfront) is currently seeking a full time Assistant Preschool Teacher to work in a team with our classroom of 3-4 year-olds. Our classroom is home to 20 preschoolers, ages 3-4 years of age, with three full time staff. Applicants must have group experience with children ages 3-5, patience, understanding of child development and classroom management, as well as a great sense of humor and the ability to work well with a team (take direction, learn from others, etc.). Daily Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:00 pm

The Assistant Preschool Teacher at the Whatcom Family YMCA maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals, promotes the potential of all youth, and provides a quality experience to both youth and their families.
