The Goddard School of Wake Forest, NC seeks a motivated Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating engaging programs and ensuring a safe, stimulating classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education required.
• Experience in licensed childcare or preschool setting.
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children.
• Works productively without supervision.
• Basic understanding of child development.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass state background checks and meet state requirements.

• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through engagement and positive interactions.
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, clean learning environment.
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster belonging.

• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations.
• Support daily care routines to promote a nurturing learning environment.

• Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
• Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements
